Last two weeks of school

Here's a brief summary of my last two crazy weeks of school. Let me start on last week-end. It was Ian's last soccer game. After the game, my friend Liza and her hubbie were the couple of the year by babysitting for us. We went to the movies. Yay, I got to watch a whole movie without any interrumptions. It was a wonderful date night.
Saturday was a weird day. The mobile Mexican consulate came to our tiny city and we took advantage of getting a new passport for Ian. We had to get in line earlier in the morning. Then we had "carnitas" for breakfast with my husband's coworker, and his family, who also went for their passports. We went back to turn all the paperwork. We had to wait several hours. That same day, it was the Rendez-vous Rifle fair, and we were representing Mexico with a display. We danced and we prepared deliciuos "Cactus" as samples, and everybody loved them! We spent the rest of the day there. Ian got to ride every single ride at the fair. Jacek only got to ride one, since he is too little. He was a little dissapointed becuase he always wants to follow Ian's actions.
Sunday, we had the missionaries over again for dinner. This time they brought another new investigating family along. Those Elders are working hard! The young family has three children and they came to church this Sunday again. Yahoo!

Last week of school was crazy, getting report cards ready, cleanning my classroom, and handing out the students' work. On Monday, it was my last induction class. On Thursday, Ian was the happy helper, which meant that it was his turn for bringing snack for his whole group. Friday, there was a party at one of the teacher's house. They gave me a farewell present and wished me luck for my new job in Texas. I was about to cry, I realize how much I felt so attached to all of my great co-teachers who were so nice in everything. On the other hand, I felt happiness YEAH! I finished my first school year as a teacher in the USA! It feels so good accomplishing something that went so well and that it finally came to an end.
Yesterday, we went to Aspen. I was not going to leave Colorado without visiting Aspen in the spring. I enjoyed my trip as ever. It was a great blessing being here at Colorado! I know Heavenly Father send us to the right place and the right time during our lives. We will miss all of you guys here in Colorado and you sure will have a special place in our hearts and memories always!

Un corto resumen de nuestras dos ultimas locas semanas de escuela. Empezare con el fin de semana pasado. La termpiorada de primavera de futbol de Ian termino. Despuies del partido mi amiga Liza y su esposo se ganaron el premio de la pareja del 2008 porque cuidaron a nuestros hijos para que nosotros fueramos al cine solos. Por fin vi una pelicula completa sin interrupciones jijiji. Fue una noche increible.
El sabado fue muy raro. Porque vino el consulado mobil y aprovechamos para sacarle el pasaporte a Ian. Tuvimos que formarnos termpranito para la ficha. Luego fuimos a desayunar carnitas con el compa de trabajo de Jhon y su familia quienes tambien fueron por sus pasaportes. Despues regresamos a entregar la documentacion y esperamos algunas horas el tramite. Para esto, ese mismo dia fue la feria de Rifle pero nostoros representamos a Mexico con un stand. Bailamos y llevamos unos ricos nopalitos que le fascinaron a todos! Pasamos todo el dia por alla.
El domingo, vinieron a comer los misioneros y esta vez invitaron a otros investigadores diferentes. Esos misioneros trabajadores! La pareja joven tienen tres hijos y vinieron este domingo tambien a la capilla. Yupi!
La ultima semana tan loca fue de entrega de boletas, entregar los trabajos de los alumnos, limpiar y recoger los materiales del salon. El lunes fue mi ultima clase del programa de Induccion del distrito y el jueves Ian fue el ayudante "feliz". Lo que significo que llevo el lunch para su salon el ultimo dia de clases. El viernes, hubo una fiesta en casa de una de las maestras. Casi lloraba porque me dieron un regalo de despedida y me ofrecieron sus buenos deseos en mi nuevo trabajo en Texas. Me di cuenta que me senti muy unida con todos las maestras(os) que fueron tan lindos en todo.
...Y termine mi primer ciclo escolar como maestra aqui en EUA! Se siente tan bien el haber logrado algo que se lleva a cabo tan bien y que finalmente termino.
Ayer fuimos a Aspen, no me queria ir de Colorado sin conocer Aspen pero en la primavera, y disfrute el paseo como nunca. Fue una gran bendicion estar en Colorado! Se que nuestro Padre Celestial nos envia al lugar correcto en el timepo adecuado durante toda nuestra vida. Extranaremos mucho a todos nuestros amigos por aca en Colorado. Todos ustedes siempre tendran un lugar especial en nuestros corazones y recuerdos.
